Now, onto the review of my meal: I ordered a Caesar salad that had barely any dressing and some powdered Parmesan, and I also tried the fried gator tail appetizer, which was so tough it was nearly inedible. The staff were rude when I asked them to repeat what they had said. For my main course, I had fried clam strips served with what was supposed to be a loaded baked potato. Unfortunately, the clam strips were fried to the point where they were almost impossible to eat. The baked potato was the only redeeming aspect of the meal. I tried Rip Tides for the first time and we will definitely be adding it to our list of favorite restaurants. We started with the spinach dip as an appetizer, and for dinner, we ordered the Fried Shrimp and the Parmesan-Encrusted Salmon, along with some sides. I would have given it 5 stars, but the shrimp were a bit tough, possibly overcooked. However, the salmon was fantastic! My husband usually orders salmon, but I don't usually enjoy it. I took a bite of his and was pleasantly surprised to find that I liked it!
We were in town from West Palm Beach for a quick weekend fishing trip discovered this amazing restaurant and came back the second night! The owner Ninee was so nice, and waitress Heather was the sweetest! Our food was DELICIOUS! The rock shrimp are to die for! The gator tail was the best we?ve ever had. Their homemade corn fritters are heavenly! Literally everything we ordered was delicious!! Next time we?re in Edgerton we will 100% be back!!! Despite a mix-up with our reservations (which someone else had taken—quite rude), I was eager to try this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the ribs with homemade BBQ sauce, along with a baked potato and salad. It was absolutely delicious! My dining companions opted for fried shrimp, Mahi Mahi, fried catfish, and rock shrimp, and everyone was thoroughly impressed. The food came out piping hot and was fantastic. The waitress she was AWESOME ????!! Dinner was Great and came home with leftovers!! I think everyone in the back for coming to work if it wasn't for them I would have nothing to eat and I also shared half of my birthday cake with them!! I found that in any business that I walk into..when I walk out..I love to say, thank you very much for showing up for work!! In today's world, it's very hard to find good help!! Kudos to everyone that worked on 8-24-2022!!!
Rock shrimp was excellent. As was the conch fritters for the appetizer. Even the fries that came with the meal were really good. Only downside were the hush puppies that another member in my party got with her meal. They were too dense and hard (I tried a piece for myself), which made them too unpleasant to finish. But at least she really liked her mahi mahi, which came lightly fried.
One of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The food is seriously 5 star restaurant quality! JC's Riptides is a hidden gem! The stuffed lobster and rock shrimp are a must!
