there were already a few people in there, but there was still a good selection of tables to save. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with bright smiles and cordial greetings and directed to the highly-aligned chairs. we were thrilled! after the order we sat and admired our surroundings. the place is covered with colorful and paper chains, decorated according to the taste of cath kidston, with cute small features here and everywhere. on the menu there is the selection of light snacks, sandwiches and their standard teestuben and afternoon tea. my friend just wanted a coffee, but I couldn't resist order...read more
a special day meant to be excluded and treated for lunch and cake. jeanettes cakery is influenced by the 1940s and 1950s. it is a really cute caffe with vogeltapete, bung, feenlicht, flowers in colman senfdoses and light blue padded seating. there is even a jukebox. on the back of the caffe is the kitchen in which all the back magic passes. all cakes are baked daily in jeanettes cakery. eating that is displayed is all covered and in glass cabinets that we always like to see. this caffe pays attention to all details from the quality of food, displays, decor and friendly friendly staff.
Excellent service when I needed a last minute takeaway afternoon tea for my mum. I was unable to be there but arranged for a friend to pick it up. She only had a small window of time but the meal was ready for collection really quickly and they went out of their way to make it extra special. My mum and sister were cheered up after a major disappointment and really loved the light and fluffy lemon cup cakes.
Have been here many times since it opened and absolutely love it. On Sunday we went for the Mother's day afternoon tea and yet again it didn't disappoint. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere fantastic and the service superb. Special mention to the young man waiting on tables. He was professional, polite, smiley and an absolute credit! Thank you! Was just passing through Saltaire and popped in for a cuppa. Can highly recommend the Jaffa cake luxury milk shake. Really lovely 50's themed cafe, the girls were dressed to suit the theme. What a beauty of a place and the cakes are fabulous too!! Will definitely call again when next in the area.
I discovered Jeanette's Cakery on a TV show a few years ago and have been eager to try their delicious treats ever since. I was finally able to book a table for my girlfriends and best friend. The soup, cakes, and coffee were all delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic.
My daughter brought me for a birthday treat and we had afternoon tea. It was lovely though we had to take our cupcakes home for later! It's always a good experience here
