Good new place with a very comfortable atmosphere. Rose, our server, was so friendly, warm, attentive, and accommodating. I love her! Ordered the beignets for a starter and they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The berry jam that it wasserved with put it over the top. So good! I also ordered the chicken and waffles, which is dangerous for me because that is oneof my favorite dishes that I order at restaurants whenever it's on the menu. At Jelly it's served with gravy. Don't get thegravy. It doesn't really go with the dish. What makes chicken and waffles so good (to me) is a waffle paired with savory chickenand a sweet sauce/syrup. When this restaurant first opened, I thought I had found a great spot to take my family. However, after my last three visits, I don’t think I’ll be returning. The food is good, but the service leaves much to be desired. On one occasion, I had to ask the waitress ten times for my pancakes, and she only brought them to me after I asked yet again. That was just one issue I encountered. It used to be good, but in my opinion, it just isn’t anymore.
We had a wonderful first experience at Jelly Cafe. I'm particular about my corned beef hash plates, and I haven't had one that surpasses the one I had here! The only drawback was that it seemed like they were a bit understaffed during our visit. We were seated right away, but it took about 10 minutes for our server to come over. Despite that minor setback, the food was delicious, and our server was very pleasant!
I showed the waiter a picture of a dish I wanted based on some reviews, but it wasn’t on the menu anymore. The manager approached me, described the dish in the picture, and explained that it used to be on the menu before COVID. He assured me that they could still prepare it for me. First time trying this place after moving to the burbs and was pleasantly surprised. The peach waffle and corned beef hash were ON POINT. We also had the pumpkin pancakes without all the extra stuff and an omelet with hashbrowns. Overall a nice spot that definitely seems to be a neighborhood favorite.
We held a brunch here the day before a wedding, and it was fantastic. The food was outstanding, and the staff was even better. All the dishes for our party of 24 were served hot, on time, and delicious. Our server exceeded our expectations. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
Great food and service. Reasonable prices and adequate portions. Everything the establishment prior to this wasn't. The lox and bagel plate is heaven, Reuben sandwich is excellent. Glad to have a good place close to home!

We’ve dined here four times since moving to Palatine, and the food service has been great! We got the chilaquiles and the Buffalo chicken wrap this last visit, and free coffee refills!
