Fish is probably the best in the area, cooked just right but service is usually excruciatingly slow. Chips are good too. However, this evening I was short changed by and when challenged, within seconds, instead of correcting a mistake they argued a bit then...had to go off and review the video evidence which took some time but proved me right. The assistant then put a note in a tray and started giggling, no apology for the error or disbelieving me. I asked whether she thought short changing customers was funny no response. Went in for fish and chips tonight as a treat. Was very disappointed. The chips were so full of bright yellow oil soft and sloppy. The oil was dripping out of the fish. Had to wrap the fish In kitchen tissue before I could even...think about eating it. As for the chips they were not edible at all. What a waste of money and it went in the bin. Never will I ever go there again. Not the same as it was a few years ago. I called to complain and the lady said oh it’s new potatoes I don’t think so just cooking chips in cold dirty oil more like. Will not advise any one to go here.

This chippy is fantastic! Proper fish chips and the options of perfect Chinese food! Sweet Sour is delicious. Great service, very friendly staff. Regularly went here when I lived in Bolton. The only thing I miss about Bolton is Jenny's House Chippy!! (Much...better than Chae's down the road)

I haven't eaten chinese here but stop occaisionally at lunch for fish, chips and peas for my mum. A lovely lady serves, always remembers what I order and provides a really tasty good size fish

I'm not sure who jenny is, but eating that comes from her home is a tiny bit expensive, but it's a local business and billing are at the moment crazy, quality of the food makes it worth it:

Good service, helpful staff when ordering. I was unsure about some of the dishes on the menu and the person on the phone clearly knew what she was talking about.

This chippy is underrated, always cook fish fresh in front of you. Always piping hot. can be pricey but worth it as it’s cooked in front of you and not sat. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Love this Chippy. Really good take away food. The fish is very good. Recommend having the Chinese menu too
