Disappointed. Always smells delicious driving by but what we got was disappointing. Sandwiches are just meat on bread. No toppings and a drizzle of sauce. Both sandwiches had a small amount of meat on them compared to other places we've been. Meat was on the dry side. Bun was soft which is good. Also got a rib plate. The ribs were fall off the bone and great. It came with 2 small sides, which again for the price was disappointing. None of the meal came with sauce. Ended up having to put BBQ sauce from the fridge on it.
I ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich, and it was underwhelming. The portion of meat was very thin and served on a store-bought bun, completely overwhelmed by barbecue sauce. Additionally, I paid FIVE DOLLARS for a small container of potato salad that was barely bigger than my hand. It tasted overwhelmingly of pickles and had little potato in it. There's a BBQ food truck just down the street with fantastic service and generous portions. I won't be returning to Jerk Juicy the next time I'm in Yelm.
Very well-smoked brisket. As a Native Texan I have high standards on BBQ and am very critical and picky, I was just in Texas this summer and have generally had low expectations and poor results with BBQ in Washington. This place however reallyImpressed me. The smoker is visible outside and the brisket is clearly properly wood smoked. Definitely going back to try other meatsAlso somehow the BBQ shop is attached to a flower shop and it’s eclectic and adorable.
I ordered food through DoorDash and decided to pick it up myself, but I received the wrong order. Instead of the Mac and brisket bowl we ordered, I got a burrito. I thought I would give it a try, but that was a mistake. It contained several pieces of pure fat, and both the brisket and mac were cold, along with the cornbread! I was truly impressed by the quality of customer service and the embodiment of the American dream in this locally owned business. I ordered a pound of beef pastrami, a large side of mac and cheese, and a large side of baked beans. I was even given a sample of the meat before I made my purchase to ensure it met my expectations, and I was certainly not disappointed!
The Jerk Juicy family is one of the most respectful and friendly teams you'll find! They genuinely care about their customers!
The brisket and mac and cheese is by far the best ever eaten and is a treat that everybody should try.
