the load was dirty. I didn't understand why, because it was empty before I went into the load. it wasn't just a little dirty either. paper, eating and half a sandwich was on the floor that led to register, not only near the cooktop. I love jersey mikes subs, but I can't go back to this special business on southfield rd, in southfield. I spent 17 dollars on a sandwich and decided to throw it away. when they take care of eating as they make the restaurant, I didn't want to be sick. not the chance. the manager knew I had a problem because he even asked me what is wrong and I told him.
The Lathrup Village Jersey Mike 's location can get busy, and yet, the staff keeps it cool. It 's truly a team that makes this location my go-to. It can 't be easy to manage a meat slicer efficiently, be patient as customers change-up Mike 's Way AND keep track of the online orders; all while keeping the line movin '. Also, I need to give Tatyana at the register, a big shout-out. She was kind and pleasant... it was a 20-second transaction, but her positivity stayed with me the rest of the day! Lazy staff that was standing around while pick-up orders were piling up. And this was 20 minutes after we ordered. It would be another 25 before we finally got our food. It would've been faster to simply come in and order. They also didn't put any sauce on my wife's dry sandwich or change their gloves when making each individual customer's sandwiches. I ordered a Philly steak and cheese, and when it was prepared, they didn’t ask me what I wanted on it—no mayo, no lettuce, and they didn’t offer to cut it in half. I only have the use of one hand, so I always request my sandwiches to be cut for convenience due to my disability. The manager was quite rude. She took away the cutting board while a young man was preparing food. I requested that she return it so he could continue working in a hygienic manner. She eventually brought the board back. However, when I found a bug in the bread and brought it to the manager's attention, she became angry and decided to prepare the food herself, without ever using a clean sheet of paper to cover the prep board.
I ordered a number seven but instead, I just got a sandwich full of oil. Never had this experience at any other restaurant, but this one the whole entire bag is dripping in all. This is one of the best Jersey bakeries you can visit. I’ll definitely be going back for more. The staff always greets you with a friendly attitude, even when they’re extremely busy and short-staffed. My orders are consistently correct and delicious! I hope the management appreciates them, as good employees are hard to come by!
