Happened to be in the area and thought I would give it a try. I'd never been to a Jersey Mike's before but had seen commercials. Order the philly chicken. Went to pay and was told the soda machine was down so I couldn't get a meal deal. Then discovered it was one of those places that solicites a tip when checking out. Not a fan of this new practice but gave 20% because it looked like employees were working hard. That's when my experience went downhill fast and wish I could have gotten that tip back. The first sub they gave me was wrong altogether... steak, not chicken and had items that weren't requested. The second attempt was correct, but disappointed that it was mostly bread. I understand...
I had heard a lot of great things about Jersey Mike's, and everything I read suggested they were the best for grinders. So, we decided to give it a try. I downloaded their app and placed my order through it, which made selecting items very straightforward. When we arrived at the store, picking up the order was a breeze since they had a designated table for online takeout orders near the registers. The bag was clearly labeled with my name, and I appreciated that each grinder was marked, so there was no confusion about whose was whose.
I ordered a regular Italian #13 this Saturday, and when I saw the lettuce, I mentioned to the worker that I usually get it Mike's Way but requested not to have the shredded lettuce since it looked old and brown. He apologized and thanked me for bringing it to his attention, but he never replaced the lettuce with a fresh batch. He just continued making sandwiches and left the old lettuce in the container. I wouldn’t even feed that lettuce to pigs—definitely not something I would serve to customers. Wake up, Jersey Mike's!
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was excellent, and the place was spotless. Despite being busy, the service was impressively quick. I visited for lunch, and the price per person was around $20–30. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 stars! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
