We were suggested JJ's by the Hotel. We got a room for our sister, because he husband was in hospital. There were 5 of us in our party. We were told to sit anywhere. No tables big enough. We got a corner booth, but we're elbow to elbow, and couldn't talk. We got a regular booth and put a chair at the end. Manager made us move. They put 2 tables together. All the tables were so close to each other that you were constantly hitting the chair behind you. Took forever to get our Server to take our order and to get our food. We had got Chips Salsa. That was so nasty. Tastes looks like pureed tomatoes with water. No flavor. Server spilled water in husband's lap. The Western Burger was ok. The Jalap...
I love that on football nights you don't have a band!!! My boyfriend and I have been wanting to go try JJ's but have been skeptical because we know bands play at JJ's rather frequently and we aren't a fan of smaller bars with loud bands. The drink specials are great. I love that the staff and what may have been a manager personally interacting with the tables. Coming from a previous server of a few restaurants and bars, I was very impressed. We will be coming back!
I really wanted to dislike this place, haha — it’s not my usual kind of spot. However, I had friends from Austin, TX performing there, and I was pleasantly surprised! The service was excellent; I just wish I had caught our server’s name to give her a shout-out! The Greek salad was fantastic, and my boyfriend loved his Philly Cheese Steak sandwich with onion rings. The house wine was also quite good. It has a nice atmosphere for happy hour.
I can't overlook this. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the band that played that night was fantastic. However, I was quite disappointed with the nachos. They were served with the chips in a separate basket, and when I ordered beef, I received crumbed meat that had very little seasoning. To make matters worse, I was charged an additional $5.89, bringing the total for the nachos to over $18. Food rating: 2/5.

JJ's is welcomed to LR. Nice space, menu and personnel. They are having the new place blues with huge crowds expecting to have trouble free experience. Give them a chance people. They will be another fun place to go in LR if you be patient. Cold beer, great service and burgers!
The music was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. My glass was never empty, which was a nice touch. The food was delightful, and we were attended to multiple times by various staff members. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We definitely plan to come back!
We had a great time, and the live music was amazing. The service was also impressive; our server was always accessible, even with the restaurant being fully packed and our large group. The food was average, but that won't stop me from coming back.
Best food I've had in a while. We tried the buffalo chicken cheeseballs and I highly recommend we don't have one in STL that I know of and that makes me sad. Lol
