Surprisingly, there are not many seafood markets/seafood restaurants along the Jersey Beach, so I was delighted to find a place near Asbury Park when I was here 2 years ago. I ordered a number of different boiled seafood and was satisfied with any choice. I like the various daily specials, they were some interesting and unexpected choices. I also bought raw seafood, which always tasted fresh with some interesting local specialties such as black fish (tautog) I never had. I would definitely recommend Jodys.
I have been dining at this restaurant since I was a child, and the belly buster meal never fails to impress me. I absolutely love it.
The food was excellent. I ordered a lobster roll, while my wife had fried shrimp and scallops.
