Came here for a date night to try it out and I wasn 't impressed. We sat at the bar, the food came pretty fast but the bartender could 've been better. She was courteous but lacking attentiveness and personality. The food was just okay, definitely not worth the prices. We had the charbroiled oysters, she crab soup and crab claws for the appetizers and they were good, maybe the best part of the meal. For dinner, my bf got the rack of ribs and they reminded me of something from Applebee 's. The portion was good, flavor was basic. I 've been taking clients to Joey D 's for four years. Linen tablecloths, fast friendly service, excellent food served quickly and efficiently. Their portions are quite generous for example, their barbeque chicken sandwich comes open faced and is more than you can eat with a knife and fork. Their seafood dishes are outstanding, and the atmosphere both inside and on the patio is first rate. Regarding service, the wait staff knows when to serve and when to let you conduct business. Their people have obviously been very well trained. My only gripe (and its minor): they won 't seat you until your entire party arrives. My husband and I decided on a last minute dinner and made reservations at Joey D 's to celebrate our anniversary. From the honey butter croissants, to the tender filets, we were impressed with our meal. Even though we were stuffed, we managed to find room for the brownie dessert. They melt an entire bar of Hershey 's over the brownie which was the most decadent thing I 've had in a while. Our server was the sweetest and gave us a little hand-written 'happy anniversary ' note as we were leaving, which was a sweet touch. Very nice date night!
I went to Atlanta and somehow landed in Sandy Springs. The Perimeter Mall area has the best restaurants of everything, for me, as I have worked, good restaurants. But Joey D's was by far the best. Not only is atmosphere excellent, the bar is beautiful with the mirrors and ladders, with excellent service, and the happy hour buffet is delicious. I didn't have the opportunity to eat in all the beautiful restaurants there, but I think it's a landmark.

I loved this place (especially the croissants)! The food was great, the service was excellent and the food came out fresh and fast! Our bill was only $67 for a couple: My date and I shared an appetizer then we each ordered an entree (which comes with one side) and we shared a bottle of spring water. The atmosphere is sleek so many professionals dine here for lunch. I highly recommend! We’ll be back!
Joey D's is fantastic. If you are near the Perimeter Shopping Centre, you should really try. The steaks are great, but the hidden secrets are the baby-back ribs and believe it or not... the chicken. Great salads and a fillet sandwich that is perfect for lunch. I eat a lot (and not only in Atlanta) and this place is consistently excellent.
I brought my team for our holiday lunch. We had a reservation. We were sat pretty quick during a busy time. Larry was our server. Larry took amazing care of us. We order several appetizers, our meals, then dessert. No complaints from the group. We will definitely be back again. Thanks Larry!
With a charming atmosphere, delicious food and beverages, and outstanding service, our experience at Joey D's was fantastic. Our waiter, Rahsaan, was incredibly welcoming and made our first visit truly enjoyable. There were smiles everywhere, and we definitely plan to return!

I wish this restaurant were closer than all the way across the country! I could eat that blackened Georgia trout every day. The service was fantastic as well. I tried a Pink Lady martini, and it was delightful. The calamari appetizer was amazing—not rubbery at all!
The restaurant was one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating at. The service was by far the best I’ve ever received. I will see them again.
