I've worked in this area and have tried out various pizza places, but I think I've found my favorite: Joey's. For someone like me, his $5 pizza and soda (two slices) is a fantastic deal. The crust is excellent, the cheese is delicious—not too oily—and the square slices are a real bargain! I just wanted to emphasize how generous the portions are, and I will definitely write another review when I stop by again because the recipe is incredible. This place is just great. I usually don’t feel motivated to write reviews, but thank you, Joey!
We found out about this place through FB, I think. Something about a $10 large pie on Tuesdays. The place is about a half block off of sunrise hwy. A small neighborhood pizza place. The pizza is pretty good. Absolutely perfect crust and sauce, good amount of cheese but NOT salty. It was a mind blowing experience. I always thought pizza was required to be salty! We came from Bay Shore on a recommendation. Every time I pass this way coming home now I will stop to pick up the $6 prepared meals and the Specials of the day. The sauce is as Homemade Italian Old School delicious and fresh as you can get I was born in the Bronx and raised in Bay Ridge. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. However, this time my pie arrived without being properly sealed, which made us feel uneasy. Please make sure to secure the boxes well in the future.
The pizza here is fantastic! You can really tell that the staff and owners are passionate about what they make. I can’t complain about the prices, either!
