We’ve had fish n chips a few times from John Dory and they’ve been excellent each time. We drive from Barrow Upon Soar to pick them up after our online order and they’re always ready on time. The fish is always cooked well, the batter light and crispy. The chips are so nice not soggy like some other places, I love the mushy peas and tar tar sauce! Our daughter would eat there everyday, fish n chips are her favourite! Parking is a bit of a problem though if the small car park is full. We had to stop for a few minutes parked up the road.
We’ve been going here for 4 years since it opened and it is by far the best fish and chips we have had anywhere, the customer service is outstanding, the staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. We travel 15 miles at least once or twice a month to eat here and they also have a park in front that you can eat on in the summer. We always leave completely satisfied as the portions are perfect and the flavours outstanding. Officially the best fish and chip shop in the Uk.
Quite a while since last visit and didn't realise there was waitress service and plates etc last time I was there the restaurant bit only just opened and you just ate out of box but what an improvement food still excellent service better very pleseanant and helpful and understanding such a big improvement absolutely brilliant thank you to staff Service: Dine in

What an amazing chippy, the menu is outstanding and the service was excellent!! Will definitely be returning and would recommend anyone in the area to try it...or travel its worth it!
