Johnnie's On Route 66 offers a very tasty half-pound burger! I would have rated it five stars if not for the fried mushroom appetizer, which seemed a bit pricey for the portion size. While traveling on Highway 44 from Illinois to Oklahoma, we stopped here based on other reviews. The restaurant has a fascinating atmosphere with friendly staff and great stories to share. The walls are decorated with interesting historical information, along with a collection of arrowheads and even old barbed wire. The menu has plenty to explore for anyone passing through.
