This was our first visit to this restaurant for dinner, although we have been to the connected café, farm shop, and animal park several times before. The building is impressive, large, and spacious, and we were seated at a comfortable table. The service was a bit hit and miss, with a long wait to place our orders and a starter that arrived after the main course. However, the food was fantastic. We hadn't planned on eating at the farm, but the Stake House looked inviting so we decided to have a late lunch there. The food exceeded our expectations - I had the Tomahawk steak and it was incredibly tender and flavorful. The sides of chips, onion rings, and vegetables were also generous in portion.
What really stood out was the host, Nicholas, a South African gentleman who was welcoming, friendly, and funny. He interacted well with the kids and made our experience even more enjoyable. the meat from the load to buy and only to go to the ground to discover a fee, is made to go around and the hands are stamped to let go again. really? necessary if this was lasting because the appeal was only introduced in time to catch the Easter school leave or what? and was recommended to have the money because they had so many animals that they could not afford to feed them. Lovely welcome from our waitress Arianne/a.. I believe her name was ... I ordered the sausage and marmalade chutney with brie ciabatta but I asked for a white bap as I'm not over keen on ciabatta bread... it was absolutely gorgeous .. the chef gave...me 2 baps which was more than plenty... my daughter had the pan fried salmon fillet which was very good too. We managed to squeeze in a white chocolate cheesecake which was amazing but we did have to share it. Highly recommend Jiggers Steakhouse house and also the tea rooms and grounds.

I visited with my two small children and we had a lovely morning out. There’s plenty to do to keep you busy for a morning or afternoon. For the small entrance fee there are a few animals to see and play equipment for the children...to play on. I bet it’s lovely in the summer. We also had a nice lunch in the cafe and visited the well stocked shop and butchers. I could quite easily spend a fortune in there! Staff were friendly and helpful. We’d happily go back!
It is unfortunate that this restaurant, which was once charming, has now developed a sense of ego and arrogance as it has grown. The owners mistreat their employees and are rude to customers. It is important to remember that there are many other coffee shops and restaurants nearby that provide excellent service without the need for such behavior towards their staff and patrons.
Farm to fork locally sourced produce cooked to perfection. Have visited here for a family meal 4 or 5 times over the past few years and it never fails to deliver on quality. Having attentive and friendly staff makes the dining experience as good as...any restaurant I have visited (I visit many,but only leave reviews where I believe it’s truly been earned)
My first visit here to have a coffee and a look round the farm shop. Lovely coffee and cake, quickly served. Going around the outside area with a fascinating collection of animals in a well laid out accessible area had interest for all the family....The farm produce, particularly the butcher shop, had a wide variety of good quality produce. Will go again.

This is a nice place to take children to see a selection of animals, there is a small playpark for the children, there is a cafe on site which is ok for snacks and drinks. There is a large shop on site which has a very good deli and butchers, There is also a wide range of beers etc and biscuits
