We had to request to be seated after waiting at the door when we arrived in a very bizarre exchange. My husband ordered the chicken enchiladas, and there was a random red chip in the middle of his dish. I opted for fish tacos. My fish tacos tasted like frozen fish sticks, had a slimy sauce, and an overall unpleasant taste. I've never had fish tacos so bad. The finger fajitas were excellent! We ordered a taco bar from the Bayside location for a family event with 45 people, and it was a huge hit among our guests. We placed our final order on a Monday, and the food was ready for pickup on Saturday, right on time. The staff took the time to explain how to set up the catering trays so that everything stayed warm without burning. Had a Great Experience the other day here with some family. Nick the assistant Manager was amazing! As he helped me out he also was helping out 2 eldery ladies like a gentleman. Very good choice on hiring this guy! Very clear, concise and proper. Maria was our bartender and she was awesome. Definitely coming back again and again due to the service I had gotten. I always enjoy visiting Jose's in Tosa. The restaurant has a pleasant layout that offers a sense of privacy, and the service staff is consistently attentive. Parking is convenient in the ticketed lot next door—just make sure to have your server validate your parking ticket for complimentary parking. Even on busy nights, I've never had to wait long. We've also opted for takeout, which is a breeze thanks to the designated parking spots in the lot. Be sure to try Alex’s nachos!
First time to the Wauwatosa location. We had a party of eight, so I called two weeks prior to get a reservation and was told they only take reservations for groups 10 or more. Upon arrival the hostess said our wait would be 60 minutes, then asked why I didn’t make a reservation. She then informed me that they accept reservations for 8 or more. Three of our meals were not correct. Our waiter was visibly overworked. Won’t go back anytime soon.
Almost 5 stars but we got our appetizer after our main meal. Though bless our waitress who took it off our bill. Outside of this one blunder. The 2 main meals were really good and tasty. The Chicken Chorizo Bacon tacos were a good blend of meats and veggies. Would get any of their tacos tbh. The guacamole is a MUST ORDER. SO SO SO GOOD. Very very very great service. Dulce was an incredible server/bartender. The portions and drink deals were better than most, and they had a Great atmosphere. This place really shines in all areas. First time there. Tried something new. Had the crunchy avocado tacos. They were so good! Prices weren't too bad, although I thought the drinks were high. The atmosphere was very nice with a view of the river. Would highly recommend and would love to go again.Food: 5/5
