When I noticed he only gave me one receipt, I checked the menu and saw that an extra patty costs $1.50. It felt odd that he didn’t provide a second receipt, so I checked my banking app. To my surprise, I found a charge of $4.50 on top of the initial $11. That seemed wrong. I went back and asked for a receipt, and the cashier now looked visibly nervous. He handed it over, and when I inquired about the $4.50 charge, he became defensive, insisting that was the only way to handle it and that he hadn’t done anything wrong. I was taken aback.

I found the experience to be quite disappointing. I would rate the food 1 out of 5 stars. The gyro meat had an odd, gritty texture and was mostly vegetables—about 75%—rather than meat. The Chicago dog was unremarkable, and the fries were simply bland, unseasoned frozen ones found anywhere else. Although the prices are reasonable, lower prices often reflect lower quality. I'm surprised that this restaurant has an overall rating of 4.5 stars, as there's really nothing noteworthy about it. The only bright spot was the staff; they were friendly and efficient in taking our orders, so I'd give them 5 out of 5 stars.
I've been dining at this restaurant for as long as I can recall, and I honestly feel it improves with every visit. I always opt for a cheeseburger topped with grilled onions and ketchup, and it consistently delivers on flavor. Josh's is simply the best! The ambiance is spotless, the staff is wonderful, and the prices are quite fair. I would rate it a perfect 12 out of 10!
Wow, the burgers are huge and delicious! The fries are pretty good for being frozen, but I'd love to see fresh-cut fries offered. I guess we can’t have everything. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I’ll definitely be back!
