I recently dined at J's On The Bay following their complete renovation, and I was eager to explore their updated menu. We began our meal with the homemade mozzarella sticks, featuring Liuni's mozzarella and a garlic breadcrumb coating, accompanied by a side of vodka sauce. For our main courses, we chose the drunken dumplings (ricotta gnocchi in vodka sauce) and the carbonara pasta. Additionally, we enjoyed mini focaccia-style pizza bites. Everything was absolutely delicious, and I can't wait to sample more offerings from their new menu in the future.
This place is great for the most part. There are 2 waitresses that know what they’re doing the others not so much which makes the place inconsistent unfortunately. The food is delicious but some items are too eclectic but I appreciate the fresh ideas for the neighborhood.Overall I would recommend this place lookingForward to the new revealUpdate: example the specialty coffee etc are made differently by different staff and some waitresses aren’t as attentive even if it’s slow) you can just tell who enjoys being there and who doesn’t
I got the country fried chicken and waffles, and it was great! Usually I avoid waffles without syrup because I like things extra sweet, but the waffle was a great texture and flavor to satiate my sweet tooth well. The chicken was well cooked, and the gravy was the best thing they could have used to pull it all together! My friends and I were all very satisfied with brunch. We even got muffins and croissants as our free bread. Awesome place!
The food was alright, but the service was incredibly slow. I think the kitchen might have been to blame. Two tables walked out due to the wait. When our food arrived, one of the dishes was a little cold and our Benedict came with the hollandaise broken, which is not the rookie level cooking we expected from this place. I’m surprised they served it to us.

Sharp decor, friendly waiting staff and really good food. They brought warm croissants with a kind of heavenly spread. Shrimp cocktail and lobster roll were worth the price tag. Baked chicken and waffles was very delicious.

beautiful service in this rustic neighbourhood restaurant. eating is always excellent and holiday decorations made it a wonderful culinary experience.
