Wow! A Japanese restaurant actually run by Japanese with Japanese sushi chefs! A rare find on the East coast for sure. We will DEFINITELY be coming back here. The food was exquisite—from the presentation to the taste. The ambience was simple, elegant and bright. I loved everything about this place. The manager and waiter were amazing. I loved that the restroom was upstairs (see pics). It was so quaint…like going up to a spa. Classy restroom…so clean, unlike most restaurants. This was my 2nd son’s birthday treat from my cousin. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a restaurant with delicious food and lively atmosphere. We recently dined at Jugemu that exudes a cozy and friendly atmosphere. The menu offered a delightful array of delicious Japanese dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. I recommend to try fresh oysters here. Wait staff service is good but that's about it. Sushi is not fresh and uni that costs $20 a piece was inedible. I even told the staff that it was borderline spoiled and they didn't take it off the bill...not the way to run business. Happy hour paired food is a joke. Definitely first and last visit to this restaurant...
No other sushi place in the area can compare in freshness. Their prices are higher than others, but it really shows through the quality of their ingredients. Their raw and cooked foods are made to perfection. The udon has the perfect texture. Highly recommend Jugemu!

Let's start with the sashimi which is always perfect and sized to satisfy you. Service is always attentive reminds you of visiting Japan. Atmosphere is calming and chic so eyes don't wander from your date. Brings me back to the sushi places that started out Fort Lee.
The food here is outstanding- authentic and traditional Japanese cuisine. Lovely menu. The service is super attentive. The restaurant is small, but calm and serene atmosphere. Manager Yusuke and waiter Chris are great!!!
