I have occasionally eaten at Julienne before Covid19. This picturesque place is very popular for French cuisine. It's hardly a quick bite. There is always an expected waiting for a table because it is a popular local favorite. Since Covid-19 she closed the restaurant dining area [it is now used as a warehouse]. Although the market still exists, this original restaurant was converted into an open cafe. Unfortunately, the cafe seemed to be dismantled with the changes. Waiting is longer and the menu is limited. Short staff, you have baristas who also take your orders to immerse. I waited 35 minutes for my latte, which tasted good. I waited 30 minutes for my quiche. Heard so much about this place from our friends in our neighborhood. We also wanted to visit this place and have breakfast here to reminisce our Paris trip in the past. But when got there this morning, we found out that they only serve a few items for breakfast during this covid time. We went inside the pastry shop to see what we can get to take out. To be honest, the food was a little bland. The service was good. The wait was a little on the long side. The sandwiches were fresh, but a tad boring. The french toast was really good, but be forewarned, it has the consistency of bread pudding. The strawberry and chocolate waffles were good. If you eat in the patio, it's charming, but slanted and can be a little tight depending on where you're at on the patio. The rosemary bread they serve is marvelous! It is charming and the store is nice. It was nice enough, but I probably wouldn't go out of the way for it again. However if I found myself in the area, I'd definitely go back and try something else. I haven't been there for six years! Well, things are much different now since the pandemic. They turned to a marketplace, Deli and Restaurant. You can still order things they can heat up for you when you eat there and they have a lot ready to eat what you can take to go. I bought turkey salad, salmon, cripples, rosemary salads for lunch and they were amazing. Great high-quality ingredients. I love her alcove outdoors. Cute.
My family and I have been going to Julienne since it first opened and we could not love it more! Whether we want to sit and dine, take food to go, cater an event, or buy a special gift for someone, we are always thrilled. The food is consistently delicious and we have many favorites- both sweet and savory. The decor always feels special and festive, there is lovely music playing, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
This is a local neighborhood restaurant beautiful French appeal food is always exceptional. My favorite salad is the spa chicken an of course there famous chicken sandwich on rosemary bread . Early breakfast is great there a late lunch around 3pm is lovely. Venture into there gift shop love the candles diffuser.
Careful, this is the kind of market and shop where you could go broke. Everything is so well curated and everything is so delightful. I could have stayed here all day!I ended up buying some chocolates and a lemon coconut bar. Absolutely divine. *chef’s kiss* I will be returning soon!!
Julienne is always a beautiful spot. The tea was delicious and the sandwiches and scones were lovely.Phone communications were a bit awkward. Took multiple messages to simply confirm the reservation.
