However, the service left much to be desired. When we arrived, about five or six tables were occupied, while the rest of the restaurant was empty. The waitress cleaned two booths and offered us a choice, so we settled in. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a significant delay between ordering, receiving our meals, and getting the check, even considering how busy things became. We waited quite a while for our water to be refilled, and my husband didn’t receive his beans with the burrito. Julio's is an outstanding restaurant that offers freshly prepared, scratch-made dishes. It resembles the gourmet farm-to-table restaurants of Mexico City, offering a completely different experience from the typical Americanized Mexican food. One of my personal favorites is the rice and black beans, which are made simply yet bursting with natural flavors. The sauces and marinades enhance the ingredients rather than overpower them. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly. This was my third time dining at Julio's, and Saturday night was quite busy. I had to wait 30 minutes for a table, but the staff worked incredibly hard to accommodate everyone. Since it was my birthday, they went out of their way to make it special for me. The margaritas were fantastic, and the food is truly the best Mexican cuisine I've had anywhere. I’ve lived in the South and have tried Mexican food in Mexico and six other states, but nothing compares to Julio's. I highly recommend this place!
Absolutely my favorite Mexican restaurant in my area. Everything they make is fresh, rich in flavor, and an absolute delight. Best of all, they are willing to make their enchiladas suizas with corn tortillas for those of us with wheat allergies or Celiac. Eating here for the first time as I write this. The food is amazing. This is the first Mexican style restaurant I've been to that uses actual beef, diced up and not ground. Definitely makes the texture and taste more enjoyably. For a small restaurant, the food in amazing, friendly staff, and all-around great atmosphere. I'm definitely coming back.
We are from California and miss good Mexican food. This place was wonderful! Delicious, the best carne asada I have ever had! The salsa was great and I consider myself a salsa snob having lived in South America. The service was great, super friendly. We went without our little one on a lunch date, but are so excited to return as a family.
The food is amazing! I'd never had fajitas with steak that practically melts in your mouth, until now. Absolute perfection! 10/10 would recommend, 10/10 will be back!
