I am a fisherman and camp down the road at Mermac springs for years. The 1st time I ate here the meal was not bad offer a nice environment. The only negative thing is , I really felt like the food was over priced . Overall I give it a 7/10 .. but what the hay .. is St. James MOI walked in last night to an almost empty place asked if I had a reservation. Said no and was told I could eat at the bar. I was like ok kid .. thank for the attitude. So I sat at the bar was offer no menu and waiting for a long time for the bar tender to notice me . I walked out of this mess . This place was. Not busy . Had trouble finding decent dining options in Rolla following our son's graduation this weekend. Son requests Just a Taste. So glad we made the short drive! As stated, the menu was limited, but everything available that we had was perfect. Fresh and delicious. Our son had the ribeye special. Their pasta is amazing, but if they offer a steak, get it! The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed. Best Old Fashioned I have ever consumed. Not priced for a regular stop, but when you want to treat yourself or someone else, this is the place.
I had an outstanding dining experience at this restaurant. The steak was incredible—definitely one of the best I've had in quite some time—and the duck wings were absolutely delightful! I also participated in the Eagles wine tasting, and I thoroughly enjoyed the selection, as well as the knowledgeable staff who guided me through the experience. Everyone was friendly and polite, which made for great conversation since I was dining alone. I highly recommend this place! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100.
Kim and I love this place! They have a great selection of beer and Wine and so much more. Everyone should visit this fantastic place and return again and again. These are great people with a vision to bring a top shelf product to Phelps County, Missouri.

My boyfriend and I go everytime he is in town. We absolutely love it. We almost always get a meat and cheese tray and a couple desserts. And the drink selection is great. The La Bella cocktail I had the other day was by far my favorite.
This is a fantastic spot to gather with friends and have a great evening. Jack and the entire staff are wonderful people. If you're looking for a place to bring a date, just take my advice!
