I recently went to Kahler's Restaurant with my mom and best friend, and we were really disappointed. Right when we walked in, there was an unpleasant smell that didn't set the right tone. We specifically went for the extra-large crabs, but they were mushy and far from fresh. I also ordered four ears of corn on the cob, and they were incredibly dry with no kernels at the beginning of each ear. The hush puppies were okay with a bit of honey, but that’s about the only positive thing I can say about the food. The service didn’t improve the experience. It wasn’t anything special, and I even had to ask for a refill, which shouldn’t happen when you're spending $181.15 on a meal. Overall, not worth...
I'm from Florida and have always believed there is no blue crab better than a Florida blue crab but boy was I wrong. I looked this place up online and it was up the street from where I'd be while in the Baltimore area. The reviews were good so I said whynot? It was byob so that was a plus. I told a fellow Floridian about the crab and were like no way they could be better. I threwsome in the cooler to bring back to them in Atlanta and they were like these are great. Food served hot and fresh. Seasoned welland friendly staff. I heard the ice cream here is good too. Must have been because everyone ordered some on their way out. Mustgo back the next time I'm in town.

We stumbled onto this gem after church; seated us without a reservation after warning that they were swamped; apologized at the end about not being so attentive. But put a dozen jumbo crabs, corn, shrimp, and drinks in front of me and I don't need much service after that. Everything was wonderful! I strongly suggest you try the fries and steamed shrimp—they were truly outstanding! The ability to bring your own beer adds a wonderful touch to the experience, and be sure to try the corn on the cob as well.
When it comes to parking, there are plenty of options available, including free parking in a nearby lot, which is very convenient. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience!
Pros: Good crabs. Hot. Only 2 of our 2 dozen were light. Shrimp were good too. Friendly staff. Cons: Crabs underseasoned, deviled eggs over seasoned. First set of hush puppies were doughy. Took a complaint and 20 minutes to get someone to take ourdrink orders. Besides being a little unorganized, the food was pretty good. Not sure we will go back.
They were short on waiters again This has been the narrative the last few times I've been here. I love the homemade ice cream that's why I keep going back.
