Came here for dinner on the way back to our hotel after touring around the island. Service was prompt and our food came out pretty quickly. I ordered their veggie stir fry and a blue Hawaiian cocktail, while the fiancé got a hamburger and a local IPA. We also shared an order of the jalapeño poppers. The food was fine large portions, quick preparation, and hearty. This place seemed like it's more of a local haunt than one that sees tons of tourists, as it's a bit far from the main touristy sections of the Big Island, but worth a stop by if you happen to be on this part of the island.
If you are on the south end of the island then this is the go-to place. We have had great service every time we visit and the food is very good. Tonight was our 4th visit in a month and they do not disappoint. The menu is not expansive but the food is always fresh, prepared well and well presented. The bar has a good selection of beers and mixed drinks but the wine menu is pretty thin. Saturday they have live music. They place is decorated nicely and is very clean. They do need more parking. We are new locals and will continue to visit!
It’s been several months, but I still remember the gracious reception and welcome I received when I visited. Deborah was such a great bartender and was fun to talk to. I loved interacting with locals and hearing everyone’s stories, this place is such a gem of a hangout especially for a solo traveler. My food was delicious, I got an Ono platter and it was well portioned and very fresh. They have a great beer selection too. A must visit if you’re in Ocean View!
Here's so good! I had the Moco-Loco and it was absolutely delicious, it was quite salty, but I love salty food. good prices, good portions and a beautiful view. server was friendly and knowledgeable. we also had the fried mushrooms that were also good! there were about 10 whole mushrooms on the plate that gave everyone enough. we'll be back before we have to go! Stumbled upon this place on the way to the green sand beach. What a pleasant surprise! Great food and service! A lot of locals were there so we knew it would be good. We had Loco Moco, veggie stir fry, chicken tenders and teriyaki chicken. Yes, a wide spectrum of food and it was all great.
Stopped in for a quick bite while exploring this part of the island. A low key bar restaurant. I found the place to be welcoming, with good food and friendly service. Not expensive at all. I was entertained listening to some of that stories some local guys at the bar were telling.
I had the Macadamia Nut Caramel Chocolate Cheesecake, and it was fantastic! Two people could easily share one piece. The parking is convenient, right off Highway 11. The restaurant has a charming local vibe, and they serve fresh, locally sourced coffee.
The staff was friendly, and the server was efficient and attentive. The bathrooms were clean. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The loco moco was excellent, and they were very accommodating about sharing it. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
This is a fantastic restaurant and bar located along Hwy 11 that we happened to notice at just the right time. It was a great find!
