Ein außergewöhnlich kleines Restaurant. Sobald man das Kairo Kitchen betritt, fühlt man sich sofort nach Ägypten versetzt. Die Dekoration und Atmosphäre erinnern an das Lieblingsrestaurant aus dem letzten Ägypten-Urlaub. Über der Tür hängt auch der typische Fernseher mit ägyptischer Musik oder Serien. Mein Herz wurde warm. Die freundliche Dame ließ zwar etwas auf sich warten, aber das passt irgendwie auch – in Ägypten ticken die Uhren eben etwas anders, zumal sie ganz allein war. Die Speisekarte erhält man per QR-Code, dazu gab es Empfehlungen des Hauses. Dieses ausgezeichnete, familiengeführte ägyptische Restaurant bietet ein wahrhaft authentisches Erlebnis. Das Essen war ausgesprochen köstlich und schmeckte wie hausgemacht. Als jemand aus dem Nahen Osten, der Ägypten mehrfach besucht hat, kann ich mit Überzeugung sagen, dass dieses kleine, versteckte Juwel in Düsseldorf die wahre Essenz der ägyptischen Landesküche einfängt. Besonders herzlich machen das Erlebnis die warmen, bescheidenen Lächeln, die einen beim Betreten begrüßen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

This food was amazing! You could just taste that everything was homemade. We ordered number 8 10, which ended up being so so good. The woman working in the restaurant was very kind too. Just keep in mind that the restaurant is quite small, but if you’ll have to wait for a seat, its definitely worth it! This was one of our favorite meals since a while, so very glad we came here. The first Egyptian restaurant to serve me, honestly, the food is amazing, and Amal Warda, whose food and cooking are amazing. And the atmosphere was so dark, one was sitting in the house of a nation and another nation was cooking, feeling a terrible sense of alienation in every sense of the word. I began to visit them all the time.
Wir haben heute Abend hier zu Abend gegessen. Das Essen war hervorragend, aber besonders der Service war außergewöhnlich. Der unglaublich freundliche Besitzer hat mit seinem Lächeln sofort das Herz erwärmt. Wir sind gerade um die Ecke eingezogen und werden sicherlich wiederkommen.
What a nice restaurant. That is also the only disadvantage. (Tje). Delicious dishes. Good host and hostess. Way too much for us. But tomorrow I don't have to cook! And for 4 people for 100 euros! It is not without reason that this restaurant scores so high!
