Avoid this restaurant. Arrived as booked for 6 of us on Boxing day at noon and was given a round table that is not stable and made to wait for 10 mins. We decided to get a menu and ask for tea and utensils. The elderly waitress demanded we seat down. Asked for tea from every waitress who came to our table. Tea eventually came when we have nearly finished our food that came on the trolley. Utensils, like chopsticks and spoons, came after the food have arrived, so I suppose we had to use our hands to eat. My hubby and I went to this Chinese restaurant as we some good ratings. They speak Cantonese. They still have the traditional cart to roll out the dim sum. They have quite number of traditional dim sum and variety of choices. The food is average to good, pricing has been rising a bit. Prefer to come with several people to share and enjoy together. There are many tables and we didn’t have to wait at all, however we do see people coming in quite frequently.Parking: There are not that many parking spaces, if we are coming with several families or friends, each with their own cars. Old school dim sum place. Inexpensive, delicious food. Spacious and accessible location that attracts a diverse crowd of people. Wide variety of menu items apart from the dim sum menu. Glad to visit this old-fashion Dim Dum shop (talking about a food cart towered with steamers) in the Coquitlam neighborhood. Not as fancy as the top-tier new comers but it’s great to have a different option with the same level of hospitality and food satisfaction!
To be fair the food was decent and cheap. I appreciate the old school dim sum push cart. If you don’t live in the area i wouldn’t recommend the drive out there to eat.
