I've lived 50 yards from Kanji since it's opened. The most important thing i look for in a food establishment as an experienced server myself for fifteen plus years is consistency.Kanji does it every time. Even though it is an expansion of a larger restaurant ownership, i believe in Kanji and its potential for a longstanding business.The area of Findlay Market and it's surrounding spaces are not always easy spaces to fill. But Kanji continues to improve in its quality service and food.I recommend the korean bbq entrees and seasonal cocktails. You really cannot go wrong with this place. A gem in OTR- Ruby
We came for dinner on Thursday night. It wasn't too busy.Service: our server was quick, nice and friendly. She came to check on us often.Food: we ordered spicy tuna roll. It tasted blend, and mixed with dried spicy paste; not too sure what kind of paste. I think it's Korean style. The Kalbi (galbi) was good, tasty and very tender. Try the seafood pancake. It was tasty. The fried gyoza could be better. They need to be more crispy, and add flavored meat.Atmosphere: there is not much offered inside-few asian decoration, no music, not much ambiance.
Elvis and I met our daughter there after a gig.Omg! Food was amazing ?The staff went out of their way to provide such a great night! Morgan was our server, she was spectacular and so was the bartender and host. They even started playing Elvis music while we were eating, since my husband was still wearing his Elvis Jumpsuit. We really enjoyed our dinner.Fast and delicious food. You really don't get this kind of service anywhere anymore...but you do here! Highly recommend ?
I love this place !!! I’m here at least twice a week. It’s so good I recommend shrimp shumai for appetizer or the Seoul wings. The sushi is amazing playboy the price is great as well. They put the Ginger in the same container as my sushi roll , my sushi got all soggy and Ginger flavored. I could taste the potential but it was way too gingery. Otherwise, delish to the Max.
I grew up eating Korean food and Kanji is as close to my moms home cooking as Ive ever had. Everything is delicious but my favorites are the wings, galbi, and the seafood pancake!
Danielle was such a fun server and so nice. She made the experience so much better. Recommended really good sushi rolls and everything tasted great! Will definitely be back.

We dropped in a a drink and light lunch. The sushi was delicious! The bartender was helpful and friendly. We can't wait to go back again!
