I’ve been a customer who always enjoyed going here and specially their banquet night but as of today ordering for delivery we tried to pay by card and was told he would call back to take the details later, 20 mins in we called back to pay, he said he’d call back then another 20 minutes passed so we called again and asked if our food was even being cooked as they still hadn’t called for the payment, he said yes it’ll be 20 minutes and to take the details now. Food arrived 1 and a half hours after when we made the first call, missing an item, which they did bring after but then found the poppodums stale, the mint sauce wasn’t very mint and not very nice at all, the tikka masala didn’t taste li...
We waited for more than an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, we were given the wrong order because they attached the wrong ticket to the bag. We had ordered over £40 worth of food, and when we contacted the restaurant, they sent us a really disappointing replacement. Despite emailing for a refund and visiting the restaurant, we were constantly brushed off. The manager promised to give us a refund, but we have yet to receive it despite numerous attempts to follow up.
This is likely the worst curry I have ever had. I love Indian food and can eat it every day of the week. I was hopeful that this restaurant had improved, but the food I received was completely different from what I had ordered. I am shocked at the incompetence of the owners in providing quality food. It seems they are using old ingredients to cut costs. Shame on you, Karahi House. I will be putting up posters in Leatherhead to warn people to avoid this place.
Another wonderful take away. Thanks for everything Mr. Ali. The extra onion bhajis, over the years, were truly appreciated as were all the great meals and the beers on the house. We loved banquet nights, especially when the restaurant was closed and you let us in anyway and sat us at the takeaway table. Our family have been regulars at Karachi House for a number of years now to eat in and for Take Aways, never disappointed and never hungry. This has now changed hands and our first experience was disappointing with the quality of food not nearly as good and they forgot 2 dishes. Time to find somewhere else as the people who bought it are not known for the quality of their food also running another curry house in the high street!
Park across the road. Small shop, really friendly staff and food ready on time. I had a lockdown takeaway, but there are a few tables in the place. Got the food home and the Onion Bhajiis are big and beautiful. Popadums are obviously fresh. Pilau rice and nan are well done. Had 3 mains and they were all superb, lamb was so tender. Excellent takeaway
No idea how this place has any excellent reviews. The service was ok, but was takeaway so not much to go wrong. The food looked ok, and was edible, but that was it. I ordered a Madras and it had no spice or heat all. It wasn't even a curry, just bland curry looking slip. Will not return, advise you never too go!
We fancied an Indian meal , but the weather was awful ! Rang to find their delivery service was operating so ordered some food . The dishes were great , very tasty all round, nice fresh poppadoms and delivered to our door ! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The meal at this restaurant was excellent. It is definitely the best curry in the area. The portions are generous, you may even need a doggy bag.
