There will be a 1+ hour long wait most of the time you come here rain or shine, but it can be totally worth it depending on what you order. If you come, I would recommend coming hungry and with a larger group so you can try more things that always makes the wait feel more worth it. I've waited on the long line here twice once after the kitchen closed when they only have select pastries and drinks ~1 hour) and once for the kitchen ~2.5 hours). The inside is quite small and cramped, but they have outdoor seating available too. The line is for ordering at the counter, and they bring the food out to you after. Below are my thoughts on the individual items:PASTRIES these are pretty pricey, but th...

unpopular opinion!! I don’t really feel as though this place was worth the hype. First of all, $60 for 2 egg, cheese and hashbrown breakfast sandwiches, 2 lattes a truffle croissant is insane, but I would’ve happily paid that if the food was good. In my opinion, the truffle croissant was A LOT (ingredient/taste wise . You bite into this crunchy, beautiful croissant with (rock? sugar and then you taste an immense taste of truffle, garlic, and savoriness. Maybe that’s the point of it, but it just wasn’t for me. The breakfast sandwiches simply weren’t worth it to me bc of the quality. The drinks were really, good though. I got the yam latte and the tamarind matcha.as for the wait, I ordered onl...

Arrived at 8:30am on a Sunday in the rain and waited an hour, but the line moved relatively fast. Service was great and the restaurant had a cozy vibe. Ordered food at the counter and waited 15ish minutes for a table efficient process! Ordered the pork belly adobo, breakfast combo, lumpia Shanghai, and the kasama sandwich. The food tasted very muted and not flavored correctly. Pork belly adobo was too sweet. The tocino and longganisa were dry. The pork in the sandwich was lacking. The giardiniera was good though! Garlic rice was not garlicky enough. Lacking the sourness of vinegar overall. Maybe the flavors were muted to cater to a wider audience. The pastries were okay/decent wish they inco...

Went on a Thursday. There was a line, but once it was opened, the lines moved quickly. Our wait time was 45 minutes. The service was great. We ordered the pilipino breakfast and the kasama combo sandwich with Zapp potato chips (nothing extra special about the meal). I tried the hot kafe-mansi. I'm surprised that coffee and kalamansi blended well together. The baked goods were nice. The truffle croissant, black sesame macaroon, and the ube huckberry basque cake were extraordinary. The ube coconut ensaymada was ok. Overall, it served a delicious meal. I believe having the lines out the door and named a Michelin Star allow Kasama to command a high price. I'm not sure if it's worth it. At least... Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

All I can say is WOW! The food here is absolutely incredible. I’m completely in love with Filipino cuisine. The pastries are exquisite, especially the taro tart. The breakfast sandwich featuring longanisa is an absolute must-try. The longanisa is bursting with flavor, and the egg, cheese, and bun are perfectly done. We visited on Thursday morning around 11 AM and had to wait about 20-30 minutes. We came back on Saturday, hoping to sample more dishes, but the line was significantly longer, likely leading to a 2-hour wait. This place is extremely popular, so keep that in mind—consider visiting on a weekday and arriving close to opening time or placing an order online instead.

We arrived early in the morning but found the line to be extremely long, so we opted to order online instead. Despite waiting through the online queue, it still took about two hours to receive our order. However, I still think it's worth a try! The standout item was definitely the truffle croissant, which had a delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors, with a strong truffle presence. The ube and coconut ensaymada resembled a cream puff more than traditional bread, but it was still delicious. Everything else we tried was good too, though I don't think any of it was worth a two-hour wait.

Now, let’s talk about the pastries. The Boston cream brioche was outstanding, filled with a wonderfully sweet custard, and the caramelized sugar added a delightful crunch. The oatmeal crème pie had a filling that reminded me of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich – simply fantastic. The ube and huckleberry Basque cake was also delicious, and the banana bread had a texture just like a muffin top. The only item I didn’t particularly enjoy was the chocolate croissant. Overall, Kasama is exceptional and definitely deserves its accolades!

There was a line out the door, and while it was maybe a ten to fifteen minute wait, it didn't feel too long. The service was great! And the food? Amazing! I tried my husband's sandwich and regretted not ordering one for myself. No worries, I had the crispiest hash brown ever and a soft and creamy cheesecake tart. Super YUM!! Came here because of the series “the bear” and also a friend’s recommendation. It feels like real authentic Filipino food where you would eat on the side of the streets, but in a nice enclosed environment in Chicago! The bakery is amazing.
