We are from Asheville, which is a foodie town for sure. Kate's is totally comparable to some of the fine dining in Asheville. Everything is incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, tasty. Just an amazing little cafe that prides itself on great attention to detail. Kate is friendly and watching over the business making sure everything is perfect. We had 3 breakfasts there when we were in town. We just kept going back for yet another fabulous meal. The quiche was so amazing. The crust was unusual, and the inside was creamy and delicious. Kate’s Downtown hosted my bridal shower last Sunday and I am still completely blown away at how perfect the day was! Kate her staff were the most helpful, welcoming, and efficient when it came to ensuring the event ran seamlessly smoothly! The soup, salad, sandwiches, and fruit were fresh delicious. The handpicked floral arrangements on each table were beautiful. Truly every last detail was mindful. Kate made us feel like family. I cannot say enough good things! Thank you again for the best day- 10/10 recommend!
The restaurant offers a vegan soup and baked goods daily. Most salads are vegan or can be easily made vegan. There are usually 1-2 special items on the menu that are also vegan. The vegan BLT is especially delicious!

We stopped in today for lunch after reading that they catered to gluten allergies! They cook with fresh ingredients and their food is wonderful! Definitely recommend them!
Very cute inside. Friendly staff. Food was pretty good. Coffee was very watered down…would have preferred to taste the espresso in my cappuccino.
