The past 3 Saturdays we have been in Auburn and noticed a small little Cafe called Katrina's that always seemed to be over flowing with people. Well, we decided to stop in and give it a try. So glad we did. Breakfast was AMAZING! The portions are huge for the price, so you definitely get you money's worth. We did have quite the wait, but not because they are slow, but because so many people know how great this little place is (and it was too cold for me to sit outside so we waited a bit more for indoor table) I personally don't mind waiting to sit at a restaurant, if it's for good food. Definitely worth the wait!
As for our other meals, I had the volcano, which featured potatoes topped with salsa, sour cream, cheese, and avocado. The portion was so generous that it could easily feed three people, and it was delicious! My husband opted for the chipotle chicken omelet, which was also recommended by a local. It was incredibly tasty and came with a hefty side of potatoes and biscuits with gravy. Although we drove from Fair Oaks, the experience was completely worth it! We definitely plan to return. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash or checks, but there's an ATM inside in case you forget.
Seriously the best place for breakfast in Auburn (and that says something because we have some good places to eat). The Pesto turkey omlette is amazing!! The only drawback in this place is the size. I can't come with my family this weekend without having to wait a long time. It's full! So get there early and take cash or check because they don't take credits. I wish they would expand to a larger building, but it was so for a loooong time, so I think there are no plans to change. Definately a must eat place for breakfast though!
Was there only once but I remember how good their breakfast was. So when I suggested to my friends to go there before we visited Ananda Village, Hermitage Gardens, everyone was happy. Again, not disappointed in my selection; zucchini, bacon, cheese omelette, no potatoes for me and selected fresh fruits. Plenty of food and eggs very fluffy. This is the ultimate spot for breakfast or brunch! The Chicken Avocado Eggs Benedict is a must-try (available only on weekends). The lemon yogurt pancakes are absolutely delicious—so good that I often order three servings just to take some home and freeze for later! Be prepared for a wait, but trust me, it’s worth every minute and every bite. Just a heads up, make sure to bring cash!
I absolutely love Katrina's Cafe! The trip from Sacramento is well worth it for a fabulous breakfast. Everything I tried was fantastic. It's a busy spot, so make sure to bring someone along who you enjoy having a conversation with while you wait. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this cafe!
This is one of our most favorite places in Auburn. Fantastic food and great service. You have to try the ham and broccoli quiche, the Tuscan scramble and we never forget the amazingly delicious lemon pancakes!
I drop by Katrina's every time i am in Auburn. I have yet to be disappointed with anything i have ordered at Katrina's. Yesterday i had the best Chinese Chicken Salad ever!!!!!! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We have been going to Katrinas since they were located in downtown Auburn...................fabulous food and lots of it. The staff is very nice also.
