The food was absolutely amazing, the staff were welcoming, and the ambiance was delightful. The restaurant is a bit on the small side, but we were lucky to find seats. I went with my family to celebrate my mom's birthday, and it exceeded our expectations. We were seated immediately and were able to access the menu by scanning a code. Our main courses and appetizers arrived promptly, with the exception of one dish. They generously offered us the forgotten item on the house, which was a wonderful touch. I am completely in love with Katsuya! I only found it this year, and I can’t believe I’ve missed it all this time. The original pork loin katsu sauce is amazing. It was my brother’s first visit, and he really liked the curry pork loin katsu as well. One dish I can never resist when I go is the Crab and Cheese Croquette—it’s absolutely delicious! Overall, my experience with the staff was fantastic; they were very attentive and welcoming. Just a heads-up: this place tends to get really busy, especially during peak hours! I always leave here feeling satisfied.
I visited during their Relay event, which offered a 30% discount on Japanese Katsu for take-out (cash only). We ordered Crabmeat Croquettes and a pound of Karaage as well. Overall, the food was delicious, and everything was perfectly crispy. Normally, I go to Katsuya when I crave Katsu, typically choosing either the Honeycomb (which I’ve had before) or the Original. I'm giving this experience a 4-star rating because I was hoping the event would also include dine-in options and extend beyond just the Japanese Katsu (Worcestershire sauce mix) selections.
Absolutely delicious! This is, without a doubt, the best chicken katsu I've ever had in Mississauga. The chili sauce was amazing—I’d happily buy it by the bottle! The side dishes were also delightful. The service was fast and efficient, and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, the menu offers something unique, making it a dining experience well worth it. The atmosphere is inviting and the place is spotless. The chicken and pork cutlets are incredibly tasty—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The fries are outstanding as well. Everything is served fresh, and the portions are substantial, offering excellent value for the money! I highly recommend this restaurant!
The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, and the service is very prompt. I particularly enjoyed the fries sprinkled with honey butter powder and will definitely be ordering them again. They also served me an amazing curry katsu. I truly loved both the food and the overall experience!
I thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese chicken katsu and the teriyaki chicken katsu. Both dishes were incredibly delicious and offered excellent value. There is a wide variety of great katsu options on the menu, and their curry chicken katsu is amazing too!
