We decided to visit Kawee Thai Cuisine after seeing its high ratings, but our experience left us disappointed. Even though it was a Saturday, the restaurant was completely empty, and we were the only customers. The menu items we chose did not reflect authentic Thai flavors and did not meet our expectations. My husband's Chicken with Peanut Sauce was underwhelming, and my duck noodle soup surprisingly contained chicken wing tips and an excessive amount of bones. We were puzzled by the positive reviews since our meal fell short of the hype. Overall, we left dissatisfied and do not intend to return to Kawee Thai Cuisine in the future.
I ordered takeout from Kawee Thai Cuisine with my family, but something wasn’t packaged properly—the sauce leaked and ruined one of our bags (see attached photo). As a result, some of the food spilled all over our car and driveway. When we called the restaurant, they unfairly blamed my mom for the poor packaging and yelled at her for not having proof of the spilled food. To make matters worse, the rest of the food wasn’t even good!
I ordered the drunken noodles, and there was a piece of wire mixed in with the food. This is a serious safety hazard and falls far below any acceptable food quality standards. The restaurant should be inspected for health and safety concerns. While mistakes can happen, this is completely unacceptable—receiving the wrong dish is one thing, but finding wire in your food is another. I will not be returning.
Update: They recently changed their chef and possibly management as well. There is a noticeable difference in both the taste of the food and the prices! If you have other options, you might want to try those first. Previously, they had amazing, high-quality Thai food—definitely worth trying at least once.

Food wasn't packed properly and fell all over my car and driveway. When I called to re-order the owner yelled at me that I didn't handle the food properly. Never ordering from here again. Thai Thai in Stirling and Proud Thai in Berkeley Heights havemuch better food.
the food was ok, but the customer service was exceptional and made the experience very much worth. the staff was so polite and patient and even offered suggestions. it was a great experience. Thank you!
The meal I ordered was the red snapper with Mango Salsa and the Padthai noodles were both absolutely delicious. The only problem I had was the flies that sweated us around and drove us outside.
Try the chive dumplings, they are amaaazing! The food is well prepared. A bit on the pricey side but there isn't a comparable Thai in taste and quality nearby. Will come back!

Excellent flavors. The staff accommodated our request on timing dinner, and the need for multiple wine glasses for different courses.
