We visited on a rainy Monday morning in search of somewhere cosy for breakfast and this place was perfect, the lady who served us was so nice and friendly. Really down to earth and the chef was lovely too. Just felt at home in there straight away. The full English breakfast was so nice! Everything cooked to perfection and when I asked for no beans I was offered an extra hash brown etc. That was a nice touch. The coffee was delicious aswell. It’s a little bit set back from the Main Street so not obvious to find but if you head for quarry rigg you soon stumble across it. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for breakfast. 9 of us arrived at 9.15 am on a Saturday morning, we usually, only ride to Bowness on Windermere in Summer it's a 130 mile round journey, but the expected dry , sunny weather didn't arrive, now to the food and service we were greeted with smiles and nothing was too much, food was beautiful like always, after a 65 mile slog to get up to Windermere a full breakfast, fresh orange and cappuccino is just what we want, we were cold and damp so we asked to move inside, that was no trouble at all, just great service and food Chorley Wide Awake Club Riders.
We had a wonderful visit to this cafe today. The staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy. We had a dairy and gluten intolerance in our group and they made changes to meals and drinks we wanted easily and without making us feel like we were asking too much (which doesn't happen everywhere). The food was really tasty and the milkshakes and hot chocolates were very decadent. We will definitely be back.
After an exhausting day we headed back to the hotel in need of refreshments a light bite, lots of cafes to chose from but this appealed we weren’t disappointed, was going to be lattes only but decided on a BLT to share, it was so filling plenty of bacon which was nice chunky too, thoroughly enjoyed it, if you’re out with your 4 legged friend, they’re dog friendly too with great food at reasonable prices what’s not up like?

I recently came back from a weekend in Bowness. Two days in a row, we stopped by for takeaway coffee before our hiking adventures. The service was excellent both times and the coffee was amazing. The food looked and smelled delicious, so we will definitely be returning to try it on our next visit.
Whenever we visit Bowness, this cafe is always our top choice for coffee and lunch. The staff are exceptionally friendly, the menu offers a wide variety of delicious homemade food, and the coffee is excellent. It's the perfect spot for a delightful lunch.
Love this café. I pop in for one of the very best flat white coffees with oat milk whenever I can. My dog is always welcome. Everyone is so friendly.
