About a month ago an out of town friend and I popped into Kennigo Social House to try out their breakfast menu. I walk past this place fairly regularly and have to admit, prior to the renovations and building of the hotel next door, I've never noticed it before. An old, traditional Queenslander has been successfully transformed into a modern day version, maintaining the best of the original beauty with a very modern feel. I'm a pretty unadventurous breakfast eater, especially with a hangover so of course I chose the big breakfast - eggs (I went with scrambled), mushrooms, tomato, bacon, sourdough and sausage. Visited this hidden gem in last August. It was not a busy night and there were only two chef’s working at the weekday’s night. We found that there was a octopus carpaccio on the menu so gave it a go to share between two of us. We then ordered a bed cheese burger and the special Darling Down Kobe MS rib fillet. Entree was presented well and taste was good. Patty of burger was soft and rarely found. Taste was well balanced with the cheese. Hero ought to be Kobe wagyu. last august visited this hidden gem. it was not a busy night and there were only two chefs working at night. we found that there was an oktopus carpaccio on the menu, so there was a jump to share between two of us. then we ordered a cheeseburger and special darling down kobe ms 11 ribfilet. the entrance was well presented and the taste was good. the place of the burger was soft and rarely found. the taste was well balanced with the cheese. hero should be kobe wagyu. perfect preparation and the texture was soft with good fat. What an experience.Couldn't get over this tucked away gem. From the front door, to the polished beautiful interior, to the great service and delicious this place didn't disappoint br br/>Priding themselves on local produce from wine and ingredients (including their own garden), the food speaks for itself.I really enjoyed the Duck Pork Sausage Rolls, that flaky pastry was so nice. And when you get to dessert, get all of them br br/>Can't wait to try their breakfast

beautifully presented eating and the best free series bacon I had in brisbane, personables staff, a wonderful and very unstoppable setting, excellent homemade hollandaise, cutlery, which actually cut proportional to the texture of the sourdough, a playlist I wish I could find on spotify and solid coffee in good size dural. everything in order, but too expensive. the staff was a bit empty, the old had to wait to order, and there were only 4 people at the whole place. the building is nice and that was ok, but I stay in the adjoining hotel and will not eat here tomorrow. not good when glass is empty for more than 30 is empty and no one offers them another
