This restaurant has been a favorite for years, and I believe it's even better than Chirping Chicken in Manhattan. Their grilled chicken is outstanding! When I take it home and reheat it, I add a splash of water, and it stays wonderfully juicy. For anyone who finds the chicken dry, here's a tip: add some moisture if you're not eating it right away. Overall, this is the best grilled chicken I've ever had. The spinach rice is amazing, and the Greek salad with Russian dressing, lemon potatoes, and black beans is also fantastic. It could use a little salt, but all in all, this place is exceptional!
The food here is remarkably simple. It seems like the dishes were intentionally made to be as straightforward as possible. I’m not suggesting that it tasted bad; rather, it was quite plain. Everything seemed to have only salt for seasoning. The half chicken was served in pieces; it looked dry, yet surprisingly had some moisture. Unfortunately, the pita was over-toasted, adding to the overall dryness of the meal. Fortunately, I had some sriracha on hand to add a little flavor and rescue me from the blandness.
I've purchased chicken from this place several times, and I've learned that it's best to buy it right after it's been cooked. I've experienced both juicy and dry chicken. I think the dryness happens when the chicken sits in the warmer for too long after it's cooked. So, it's important to time your visit well to ensure you get the juicy chicken, which usually comes right after the initial lunch batch is made. They also offer a fantastic Greek salad as a side dish.
The best lemon potatoes better than the Greeks! It’s the best chicken, cooked on the charcoal flames. No place like this in NY. If you never had it then you should. I’m so picky I don’t eat from nowhere, this place is soooooo underrated! Must trytheir sweet potatoes too it’s soo good! Ugh I love this place.

The food at Kew Gardens Chicken is extremely disappointing. One of the staff members appears unkempt, which is off-putting. The dishes are dry and lack any real flavor. I ended up with a stomachache and would never eat here again. Even the side dishes are completely bland.
I visited Kew Gardens Chicken twice, and both times the chicken was dry and lacked any seasoning or marinade—completely flavorless. The person taking orders was loud and rude, shouting even when I was just a foot away. The sides were also bland. I will not be returning.
The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The sides were excellent! I recommend this place, even for vegetarians, due to the variety of sides available. Be sure to order early or call ahead to confirm they have the sides you want, but all of them are delicious!
Great place. Very simple menu. Good for mid week quick dinner pick up. I usually get chicken and a side. When I get home I make a quick salad and that's it. Great place to go when you're in a rush.

So sad finally ate here again and its under new management. Chicken not as grilled and they dont use the same pita bread they used to so now its dry. Very sad.
