Long before the Ottoman Empire, the area known as modern Turkey was the commercial hub for trade between East and West. Even today, the Spice Markets in Istanbul, would have to still be one of the best in the world. In many of the finest (as in good food) Turkish restaurants in Istanbul there is a dedication to authentic Turkish cooking and authentic (organic) ingredients. Go to Google and Trip Advisor, for reviews of Ciya Sofrasi in Kadikoy and after that make a booking at Keyf Restaurant to save yourself the airfare. Came to our work function there on Saturday night and had an amazing experience- good food and variety of dishes gives opportunity to try different things on the menu- we had banquet menu. Everything seems delicious starting from dips and kofte(meet balls) and finishing with Baklava. There was so much food we couldn't believe more was coming. Very tasty chicken dish with mushrooms and rice for main course, we also had lots of vegetarian options- dolmades- vine leaf staffed with rice and veggies, zucchini cakes, spring roll looking pastry with cheese. We have been to KeyF a couple of times and have always found it a very welcoming and friendly restaurant. Run by a family, it has a relaxed atmosphere and the food has always lived up to expectations. The shared entree has a mix of all the entrees which are all tasty and well presented. They are generous serves with a medium price range.
Wandered into Keyf for a late Sunday lunch. A table of vegetarians, the lovely woman was able to advise us on what would be suitable, and adjustments that could be made to their set platters. I was the only one at the restaurant and was looking forward to my first feed of Turkish Food since leaving Turkey. I started with İç Köfte - which were a bit oily and not well spiced, followed by the mixed kebab - the adana kebab and lamb şiş were good. Really enjoyed the ayran. Left feeling full.
We ordered the banquet which consisted of wonderful Turkish bread and dips, cheese cigars, calamari rings, lamb and chicken skewers, salad, rice, Turkish delight and coffee. We also ordered a baklava which was amazing! We highly recommend this restaurant.
We have been here a few times now and even though it is a restaurant it is also a good place to catch up with friends and have a coffee.The owners are lovely and make you feel very welcome.The food looks great and we will try and sample the food soon.

Brilliant little gourmet beef and chicken burgers, taste great, presentation "tick" with fantastic service.
