I have been to Kiccho and its sister restaurant Kyo. I am well aware that most Japanese restaurants in the Marais are run by Chinese and this might be the case as I have heard the staff speaking in Mandarin to each other. I have been to Kiccho and Kyo three times this trip. The first time was with a group of six friends on a busy Friday night. The second time for lunch on my own at Kyo. And the third, with my partner on a Monday night. This third time, Kiccho was about half full. On the first two visits I had a similar experience. I had the Sushi set menu on first visit, and the Sashimi Moriawasi set menu on the second visit, they come with a small bowl of miso soup, coleslaw salad and rice....
We were there for dinner and we did had a reservation. The staff is very nice and friendly even though he cannot speak English fluently but he did try his best to explain the menu to us. The food quality is above average but it really worth for the money you paid. The range of the menu is great when you can choose from a appetizer to a big portion to share for 2 person. The decoration is cozy and I really like the atmosphere and they even have a tables outside. Highly recommend for a quick dinner with a reasonable price
Japanese restaurants abound in Paris now and for the past 10 years. Kiccho is one of the best for sushi. I met a friend there who recommended it and we had a lovely lunch with 2 special rolls that were almost too much food. The decor is pleasant and the service was excellent. I will go again next time in Paris.
except the small uncomfortable chairs, and small cheap tables for the patio.You will have a good and fast service. The price is good and food okay. you can eat on the budget there. the menus are clear and picture as fare as you order. I recommended this place for lunch .
