I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The Mexican food is truly authentic—the mole was excellent, and the salad was delicious. The soup was amazing, too. The tamales were good, though they could use a touch more salt. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful. I can't find anything negative to say about this wonderful local gem. This is an outstanding Oaxacan restaurant in Uptown. The food here has always been exceptional, and they have finally obtained a liquor license to serve wonderful margaritas as well. The snapper fillet wrapped in banana leaf was cooked to perfection, and the spicy sauce complemented it beautifully with a traditional lime margarita.

We love this authentic Mexican Oaxacan restaurant so much we came back for the second night in a row! The mole is incredible! All the flavors are just amazing. The restaurant's name is from the indigenous Zapotec language of Oaxaca state.Food: 5/5
