My Bayonne Amigo and I headed to King Szechuan for our first time in search of a particular dish. At the King, it is known as Chong Quing Chicken, a delightful dish made from pieces of chicken fried in some kind of amazing seasoning, Szechuan peppercorns, chili peppers, scallions, and who knows what all else. We were greeted by the super friendly owners and given complimentary green tea to begin our meal. While the ambiance couldn't be mistaken for fine dining, it is more than made up for with the friendly service and outstanding food. Even though the exterior and dining space may seem a bit unpolished, don't be put off. The food here is absolutely delicious. It's not often that we give such high praise, but the dishes were truly wonderful and we will definitely be returning. We would highly recommend it. The vegetarian option, Mapo tofu, was particularly amazing.
The food at this restaurant is delicious which is why I continue to order from them. However, they consistently make mistakes with my UberEats orders, either forgetting something or giving me the wrong item altogether. In conclusion, the food is great if you order in person, but I wouldn't recommend ordering for delivery.
I have ordered take-out from King Szechuan Palace several times. The Vegetarian Mapo Tofu (which is vegan, I checked) is fantastic. It has just the right amount of spice and aroma. I’ve gotten take-out from King Szechuan Palace multiple times. The Vegetarian Mapo Tofu (it’s vegan, I asked) is so good. So spicy, so fragrant. I keep going back for it. Can’t recommend it enough. The American/Chinese dishes are so-so. The vegan meats are fine.

The only good thing about this place is the outside. The food was under cooked even though we asked them to make it well done the girl said ok with an attitude The food is about as good as the service. Not going back here.

Oh man, I love the Chinese food here, it’s so delicious and well cooked. However, the only thing is how oily the food was. Nonetheless, I loved my food, and the portion was reasonably enough and great.
