This place was shockingly bad. The service was the only good part whilst the dinner was absolutely unacceptable. The pub itself is very much atrocious and the music is so terrible it made my mum almost throw up from the racist lyrics we could hear blasting from the back area. Talking about cleanliness it was a pig style mud on the floor, stains on the glasses and cutlery and the plates were beyond filthy. Worst of all is the way the owner treats waiting staff as their bright smiles turns into a spread of depression. The new staff should not have their jobs as a teenager named Maddie dropped a pie of the day plate on my finger causing it to get second degree burn which your business should be...
We were a family of 6 and were very pleased with the main menu options plus specials board. We each thought there was several options we would have tried. We each had something different and no one was disappointed with their meal choice. Plenty of food and for a very reasonable price. There were clean plates all round at the end. Some of us also had desserts which were also well enjoyed. The service was excellent! The staff were attentive without being overbearing. There were many tables and a group in that night for dinner so it was very well managed. We will be returning for another meal in the near future.
Twenty women from the Women's Institute ordered dinner during our bowling match. We were charged £5 per person, which had been acceptable in the past. However, this time the chips were very good, but the sandwiches appeared to have been haphazardly thrown onto the plates - in some cases, the tops were not even with the bottoms. Additionally, the pork pies were bland and tasteless. We were very disappointed and felt that it was definitely not worth the total of £100.
I needed somewhere to wait as my car broke down on the road a couple of metres away. The team were very kind and gave me a free mug of tea whilst I waited. I was quite panicked by the whole situation as my front wheel was coming off the car and they helped me stay calm whilst I waited for the RAC. We have just moved into the area and were bowled over by the welcome at the Kings Arms. We have now eaten here twice. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is friendly and homely. This will definitely be a place that we will visit regularly. We have yet to try their legendary Sunday lunch but it is on our list for sure! Thank you to the team at the Kings Arms for such a good experience.
Wayne Child and his team serve up delicious home-cooked food at great prices in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The only downside is that the portions are so generous, I often end up taking leftovers home for a second meal the next day, essentially getting two meals for the price of one. The menu offers a wide variety of options and the staff are happy to mix and match dishes.

Great food but not disabled people or rescue dogs friendly. Greed over compassion seems to be their way. So disappointed. We got punished for having a very autistic child with us it would seem. The owners were also publicly damning of a family that had a dog with abandonment issues. I will never go there again they probably won’t mind either. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Came for Lunch for the first time. Food was excellent, fairly priced. Gemma was a lovely waitress, very friendly and attentive, nothing was to much trouble. 10/10 look forward to our next visit, Sunday Lunch is excellent Gemma informed us, so we may book soon for another trip.
