First time here but this was a very disappointing experience as far as the food goes... Do not order oysters or calimari! Due to bad apps, we decided to leave and not get more food/main course for fear they maybe bad and I don't feel like having to send more food back. The dining room was half empty on Friday night.. That tells me something was off. In the end the waitress and manager were both beyond excellent and addressed our issues. Manager even brought us a complementary dessert and that butter cake blew us away! It was amazing!! So definitely get that! Maybe try some entree just skip apps.
Our reservation was for 5:00 PM but due to getting out of The Aquarium of the Pacific earlier than expected just headed over to King’s Fish at about 4:30. We were seated immediately in a booth for 6 in the bar area. My wife and I sat so we could see out to the street to people watch. Hanna, our server, was very friendly and helpful with our meal selection. Both my wife and I went with the Spiny Australian lobster tail. She had the A to Z Riesling while I had a 22oz Guinness. Finished it with Crème Brûlée and a Bailey’s coffee. It was all excellent.
Good food and still pricey but what isn't 30% higher today than 2 years ago? The drinks are not poured with a full and complete jigger and they won't top off the drink when you mention it to the bartenders. That's the downside. TH upside is the waiter we had was fantastic, attentive without being intrusive, and he knew the menu.
Great food and drinks! Went to celebrate my 15th anniversary with my wife. Would've been nice if they did something for us considering I did put it was an anniversary but overall still a good experience.
