While we waited for the kitchen to prepare properly hard-poached eggs, the rest of our meal sat mostly untouched, and the eggs went uneaten. We were surprised to find that our bill included the full price for a meal that had just one out of nine dishes uneaten. When we inquired with the waitress, the manager offered us a mere $1.78 discount. When I attempted to discuss the situation with him, he became verbally aggressive, insisting that his 25 years of experience made him the authority on the matter. We recently visited Kitchen 73 to celebrate my grandson’s first birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. We had called ahead to ensure two tables were ready for our arrival. Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to make sure everyone was happy. The menu is quite extensive, making it a bit challenging to decide what to order! However, once we placed our orders, the food arrived promptly. Everything was served just as we had requested. My portion was impressively large, as were most of the other dishes, and everything was absolutely delicious. The coffee and drinks kept coming, which was a nice touch. Every time we visit Kitchen 73 in DDO, we have a wonderful experience. The owner is typically present to welcome us, and the staff is both efficient and friendly. It’s clear that the employees enjoy working there. While many restaurants struggle to find staff, this one is fully staffed, which speaks volumes. A special shout-out to Swap, that’s his name. Our meals arrived promptly, our water was frequently refilled, and our coffee cups were always kept full. We went in at 11:00 on a Sunday, and although they were very busy, the service was exceptional. We will definitely be returning soon.
I was charged $4.73 to swap my potatoes for fruit. For that price, I received just a small orange wedge and three pieces of cantaloupe! It's clearly marked in blue on both the picture and the receipt. When I brought it up to the waiter, he said he had mentioned this issue to the owner multiple times due to customer complaints. The restaurant offers free parking, has a spacious layout, and features a diverse menu. The service is friendly, and even when it's crowded, your order is served promptly. The portions are generous, and the food is excellent. During my last visit, I especially enjoyed the Bagelox plate.
The food itself is just okay—not anything that has impressed me, to be honest. Lastly, the waitstaff always seem to be busy, even during a Wednesday at 11 am, which suggests they are understaffed. On a positive note, wheelchair accessibility is good as there are no stairs.
The service here is seamless, and the atmosphere is filled with joy—everyone seems to be in a great mood. Our waitress nearly stumbled, yet she remained exuberantly cheerful and even made us laugh about her little mishap. Truly amazing!

I had a disappointing experience with the smoked meat sandwich; it consisted of just two slices and lacked flavor. The fries were also subpar. The restaurant itself is in disrepair. On a positive note, the servers were great.
