Kiwan Cafe Rio is an amazing breakfast and brunch restaurant and coffee shop in the heart of downtown Oak Grove. Located centrally on the main strip, Kiwan offers gluten free breakfast and brunch options including their famous waffles in both savory and sweet varieties. In addition, the offer hot coffee and tea as well as gluten free pastries and home made ice cream, including dairy free coconut flavor! 11/18/17: 4.5 out of 5 I came here after one my runs with my running group. Been wanting to try this place since I heard about Kiwan Cafe from the NextDoor app. It 's a small 'mom pop ' and locally owned cafe with a little bit of everything in the heart of Oak Grove. It gives off a casual vibe that just allows you to settle in and just be. My wife and I shared scrambled eggs with chicken Italian sausage, spinach and Pepper Jack cheese. I have only positive things to say about Kiwan Cafe Rio. The owner is one of the most kind and caring hostesses I have ever encountered. She truly wants every customer to feel welcome and satisfied. My girlfriend, who has severe food allergies, was thrilled to find coconut milk ice cream made with simple ingredients and sweetened with agave. She hasn't been able to enjoy real ice cream in years. The gluten-free donuts were also a hit, with a perfect texture and made with a combination of flours, including almond flour. Best place ever! If you are forced to eat gluten free you too often end up eating with friends at some restaurant that serves nearly nothing you can eat... and whatever you get is subject to cross contamination and ignorance or indifference. This place is delicious! The owner makes all the food and everything we've tried is amazing! My favorite so far is the pepper turkey sandwich with the vegan mayo. Her gluten free bread is the best I've had. The muffins, smoothies, and coffee are all good as well! Everytime we are near, I beg my husband to go here. Don't miss out on this gem!

This charming coffee shop is locally owned and serves delicious food and beverages. They have a dedicated gluten-free menu with a variety of vegan options. The service is exceptional, and they happily accommodate any other allergen restrictions. The staff makes you feel like part of the family <3.

This restaurant is a hidden gem with fantastic smoothies, delicious waffles, and amazing coffee drinks. They have the best gluten-free options around. I would happily travel here just to visit the wonderful couple who own and operate the place.
