This is a great place to check out! The atmosphere is clean and friendly. There isn't a lot of seating, so I suggest calling ahead to make a reservation. The meals we tried were all quite good, although on the pricier side. The hot fiddler, which is their specialty, was just okay; it's basically a serving of fried catfish (or two). The po' boy and the fried chicken were both enjoyable. For appetizers, we had catfish and herb balls, which are deep-fried eggs filled with sour wort and cheese. I found those to be the highlight of the meal!
Knob Hill is a consistently great spot for dining and drinks. The staff is exceptionally friendly and always willing to assist with any request. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and their selection of tap beers is remarkable. Our food arrived in a timely manner, and the beer was served at the perfect temperature. We've visited multiple times and will definitely return. If you haven't tried Knob Hill yet, make sure to treat yourself!
Great service. Friendly place. It was busy when I was there... 4:00. I sat at the bar. Had a drink fast. You had milk to make my white Russians... Great plus! Few people. Fried mushrooms were hot and fresh. Pay attention to the parking lot. If it's tight. I would recommend Knob Hill Tavern. Plan to go back if I can. They are open on Mondays, unlike Crickets, Fat Boy Pizza....and have full menu unlike Jennings Street.
Delicious Catfish Filet Sandwich served with its ingenious Cole Slav. Madi service was teriffic. I feel obliged to comment on the restaurant itself. It's old, and the interior is a bit Drab (dark disguise), but it's neat and the fresh flowers on every table (and in the glittering clean bathroom) go a long way to brighten things up. It was a peaceful lunchtime. The food was well-prepared, and the waitress was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was delightful, and overall, it was a great experience! The landscape design was beautiful, and the furnishings were comfortable. Thank you!
