Couple things ruined it here. This place was empty when we arrived. We made reservations for 6. 4 of us arrived and the commie no smile owner said sit down there until the rest arrive. I asked nicely if we could sit, we were thirsty and wanted appetizersfor my daughters birthday. She said let me get table ready. She didn't. Another party arrived and she sat them immediately. This infuriated me. We almost left. Food and service was excellent. We went to pay and the worst thing happened. She gave us thebill and in small print on the bottom it said 18% gratuity added for parties over 2......?????? What the ??? She swiped ourcards and we barely noticed they already gave their own fricken tip. Wh...
My family and I dined here for the first time last night on a whim. Saw the restaurant a few times while going to the pet store nearby and thought it would be fun for my kids as I have been to similar places before. The restaurant is small but clean andhad a good feel. They did a good show with making the food and the children enjoyed the pyrotechnics and showmanship of ourcook. They have a Cotton Candy machine inside that my daughter was infatuated with and had to have some before we left. Mywife was complaining that she ate too much because the food tasted great. Great experience overall.
So glad they've reopened! Very busy, which of course, wasn't great (dining room slightly chaotic) but it is great for their business. Staff struggled a bit, understandably because a lot of people arrived at the same time. But they were so pleasant andhelpful. For apps we ordered sushi-it was FANTASTIC! Our meals were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Topping it all off, theyrallied staff to sing to our son, whose 25th birthday was last night! Thank you, Kobe
I was quite disappointed with my visit to Kobe Japanese House. The filet I ordered wasn’t actually a filet, which felt misleading. Additionally, my food was overcooked and tough, as it wasn’t prepared according to my instructions. The dishes lacked flavor, and the salad dressing seemed old. Given that I spent over a hundred dollars, I expected much better quality and taste.

A true culinary treasure in Rancho! While there are plenty of popular hibachi spots, Kobe Japanese House stands out with its unique local charm that makes you feel more like family than just a customer. The food was cooked to perfection, the hot tea was just right, and the dumplings were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
It was my first time as friend did suggest it . It is small dining area but clean with nice atmosphere. The Cook did a nice show and the food was really tasty good portion. Overall it was great experience ????
I love eating here. The food is always great and entertainment is cheezy, but fun. You never know who you're going to get at the grill. Make reservations or you'll be waiting 30+mins.
This was my first visit, and I absolutely loved it. The venue is cozy, featuring five teppanyaki tables and a sushi bar. The food was fantastic, and the chef was outstanding!
