I was planning on rating Kobe 3 stars, but after reading my own review, I think 2 stars is more fitting. I was a huge fan of Kobe in Tuscaloosa, AL so was super excited to give this one a try. Service was great! Our chef was even greater (personality wise). I was disappointed that this location did not include the appetizer shrimp or the noodles?huge bummer! Our chef put on the best show?food not so much. The fried rice was crispy in areas (good flavor though). Thevegetables were overcooked in areas. We requested our steak medium, but it was past well done once it hit our plate. It took too much effort to chew it. The shrimp lacked flavor and was a bit small in my opinion. I was super hungry...
Chef was good and service was fast and friendly. I'm still giving 5 stars because it was good albeit unexpected. Fried rice was cooked with a hot mustard sauce on it. I don't care for that flavor but it may just be regular for this chain. The ginger sauce was very different than what I'm used to. It tasted like mostly onion and sugar. It had very little ginger flavor and no ginger bite. It was very light colored when I am used to a darker sauce. All in all gooddinner, just not what was expected.
The prices were fair for what you recieved, left on a full stomach, but I was slightly underwhelmed by the usual experience of a cheering and laughing shop. Felt slightly as if the workers wanted to cook and get on the the next table, but bring a great group of friends and it'll elevate the mood. Overall good experience here!
Went as a double date with some friends. Looked to be the best rated Japanese steakhouse nearest to where we were. Service was great, but the menu was lack luster, and the food was under whelming. $20 plate for a steak and rice that looked proportionate to a kids meal. Service was the only outstanding part of our experience

I went to this place last night, and I highly recommend this place!! The atmosphere was pretty chill and all the staffs were so friendly and nice! I tried some of the sushi and the steak hibachi. Price felt fair for the quality. Definitely going back soon!
This meal was so good I wished I had order! The best salmon pieces hands down I have had since moving back here from Myrtle Beach. I will be ordering here again and trying some of their specialty sushi rolls....
Great food, nice experience. Filet and shrimp, some fried rice and veggies. Sushi was great, soup flavourful and salad crispy as can be
Good was good and well prepared- order was correct. The portions are very skimpy for price however.

As of late, their sushi has been better than the pricier "upscale" places around town.
