I've visited the Point Pleasant Boardwalk many times over the past 40 years, and one thing is always guaranteed: there will be a line at the Kohr's Frozen Custard stand. They've been serving their delicious frozen custard for 100 years! With a wide variety of flavors to choose from, favorites include Orange Vanilla, Raspberry Vanilla, and Chocolate Peanut Butter. This time, I chose the homemade blueberry vanilla ice cream, which was excellent—made with real blueberries and of good quality. I also appreciated the friendly and quick service. The frozen custard is actually soft serve; I had no idea until the server kindly informed us. The line looked long, but it moved quickly. We ordered chocolate and vanilla soft serve in a cup, as well as a Cherry Italian ice in a cup. Both treats were delicious, though the cherry melted quite fast! The regular size is very generous!
The orange and vanilla swirl is unbeatable! Perhaps it's the salty sea air mixed with the scent of cologne from all the guys from Staten Island strolling by, but Kohr's has always been the best when it comes to custard. And I can't forget to mention the Orangeade—it's absolutely delicious!
Tastes great but their machines are either not working right or they don't keep them cold enough. Complete soup in a cone melting all over our hands and clothes before we could even walk away after paying. Crazy. It's not even hot out yet! Never seen ice cream melt like this.

Freshest ice cream on the boardwalk. The orage twist is my personal favorite. Always a long line but it goes supper quick! The staff is attentive and on the ball! Thanks for great ice cream!
I ordered two items, but the guy barely spoke English and both of them were wrong. I ended up wasting six dollars on food that went straight in the trash.
First time back in at least 5 years. As delicious as ever, and the staff does an amazing job keeping the lines moving quickly!
I don't like soft serve or custard in general, so I can't judge.But my wife loves custard and insists that they are the best.
