The ribs were incredibly tender, falling right off the bone, and packed with so much flavor that I didn't even need to add any sauce. The collard greens were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, and the baked beans had a delightful sweet and smoky taste that I really enjoyed.
The portions were generous, and everyone was too full for dessert, but we did take home some chocolate and apple cake, which was equally amazing! The service was outstanding, with all the staff going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.
I don't say this often, but this restaurant is definitely worth a drive, even if you don’t live nearby. We will absolutely be returning!
I ordered $40 worth of food during my first visit to this restaurant, and I was very disappointed. The ribs were not grilled as I expected; instead, they were baked and tasted terrible. They also gave me pulled pork instead of the brisket I ordered. The macaroni salad was unappetizing. The only thing I found palatable was the chicken and apple cake. I will never order from this restaurant again.
The food is amazing! Their brisket is incredible and the Mac and cheese is so creamy and flavorful. The parsley potatoes are buttery and a must try. The family is wonderful and local and they’re a Tampa staple. They have the best bbq in the area, hands down
Great people that own the place. I don’t usually like collards but I love there collards. Don’t have the bitter taste. I try to eat here whenever I travel out this way for work. Defense should get some great ribs!
