We stopped in before heading to Ikea and it was a great decision! We didn’t know what we were in the mood for but saw this on google and tried it out. The decor was so cute! I love the greenery, makes the restaurant feel homie. The food was veryfresh! We started with SAKE OR TUNA TARTAR Salmon or tuna, avocado, scallions in ponzu sauce ADEREZO DE ATUN Seared thin slicesof tuna with pepper in our house sauce The flavors were delicious and not fishy! Three stars because service was good, but the wasabi taste like old tooth paste. My sashimi was thick uneven cuts. The white fish was freezing cold and watery. Ehhh, won’t be back. My wife loved her cooked concoction sushi and another reason for thethree stars. If not it would have been 2 stars. I usually agree with other 5 star ratings but this was not what I expected….
Our experience was very pleasant. While the Mix Yaki was a bit drier than we preferred, it was still full of flavor. The Vulcano Roll and gyozas were incredibly tasty! And the desserts—fried ice cream and almond pie—were absolutely PERFECT! We will definitely be ordering again.

I'm not certain if there's been a change in ownership or chefs, but the quality has noticeably dropped. The portion sizes are quite small, and they haven't included the ingredients I asked for. It's disappointing, as I used to frequent this place often.
My experience at Kokai Sushi Lounge was disappointing. The taste of the food was awful, and everything was served extremely cold. Furthermore, the rolls were presented in complete disarray.
