After catching a movie in Yorktown, we stopped by to celebrate a friend's birthday at this restaurant. We were also here for a girls' night out. The general manager, Mario, was extremely friendly and the chef surprised us with some delicious vegan rolls. They even brought out dessert for the birthday celebrant and our waitress was very attentive. It was a lovely evening with a comfortable atmosphere, good music, and not too crowded. Overall, a great dining experience!
Dinner at Kona was a mediocre experience. The servers, staff, and atmosphere was perfectly fine and our waitress was very kind and friendly. When it comes to the food, nothing really stands out too much. For the higher price, the dishes are smaller than you would expect and the food was pretty normal. My entire experience was fine, however for the price it didn’t level up.
This was a nice setting for dinner and drinks. Nice dim light setting. We ordered the stir fry which was good in flavor, got a little heat to it. We ordered the Philadelphia roll, and they have gluten free soy sauce to offer. They have vegan and gluten free options. The drinks cost about 14-15$. The waitress was very accommodating. Good experience overall!
Our dinner at Kona was underwhelming. The servers, staff, and ambiance were excellent, and our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. However, the food was nothing special. The portion sizes were smaller than expected for the price, and the dishes were fairly average in taste. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but did not justify the high cost. This is one of the top restaurants in Oak Brook! I have been dining here for a decade and have never had a negative experience. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, the cocktails are always superb, and the service is consistently outstanding. This is an ideal spot for lunch, dinner, happy hour, and just about any other occasion!
This was my first experience at a Hawaiian restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic with a high-end feel. The waitress was incredibly friendly and accommodating. There was even a DJ setting the mood. They also offered a wide variety of drinks. Overall, the culinary experience was a perfect 5/5.
